Algemene inligting:-

Burgersdorp N.G. KERK: Op die kerk se terrein is die grafte van 2 persone. Die persoon op wie se plaas die dorp aangelê is en een van die Predikante.
Grafte: Gert BUYTENDAG en Ds. A.D SCHUTTE en sy vrou.

'n Bietjie geskiedenis:
Op 13 Oktober 1846 is die Gemeente Burgersdorp op die plaas Klipfontein van Gert BUITENDAG (BUYTENDAG) gestig. "Burgers"sou die burgers wat Christendom na die gebied gebring het, vereer.
Die plaas van 3607 morge is vir 15,000 Ryksdaalders aangekoop. Die koopbrief is deur J.A. VORSTER, met hulp van John MONTGOMERY, opgestel.
Op 20 Januarie 1847 is 'n veiling van erwe gehou en 75 erwe is verkoop teen 'n gemiddelde prys van 50 pond. 'n Uitsoekerf is reeds in 1846 aan Gert BUITENDAG geskenk, toe die plaas aangekoop is.
Burgersdorp het sy eerste Munisipaliteit in 1891 gekry. Die dorpsmeent is in 1912 aan die Munisipaliteit verkoop.

Die eerste N.G. Kerk is in 1848 ingewy, met Ds. John MURRAY as eerste predikant. Die nuwe kerk is in 1913 ingewy.
Dié gebou, in 'n tipiese Romaanse boustyl, oor 'n indrukwekkende orrel met elfhonderd pype. Die preekstoel gemaak uit Kiaathout.
Die kerk het 'n indrukwekkende koepel.
