Free State, VENTERSBURG district, Perseverance 67, British military grave

Cemetery information:-
After doing a bit of research, it was found that these soldiers were killed on the farm Spytfontein, about 8 km south of where they were buried. The area is/was called Doringberg (Doornberg), close to the Aldam Dam and that is what their place of death is recorded as on the official documents. Spytfontein was also the farm of Olaf Bergh, a controversial "joiner" who led a commando, during the Anglo Boer War. We have the coordinates of the farm, but not the graves. The owner says the graves are on the North Eastern boundary of the farm.

Album complete.
