Free State, PHILIPPOLIS district, Hartebeestfontein 516, farm cemetery

Information supplied by Johannes G. Bosch:-

When my great-grandmother died of enteric fever in 1898, the family was not allowed to bury her remains in the town cemetery; hence she was buried in a lone grave on the farm Hartebeestfontein, approximately 9 miles west of Philippolis. In 2012 this farm formed part of the Laohu Valley Reserve, a preserve for Chinese tigers.

Album complete.
